How to download a Pinterest video
- Open the public video pin in the Pinterest app or in your browser, tap Share and choose Copy link.
- Paste the link into the box above and press Analyze link.
- Pick the option you want. Only options that really exist for that pin are listed.
- Press Download and wait until the file is ready.
Which Pinterest links are supported
VideoDownGo accepts the address of a public pin that contains a video, for example:
pinterest.com/pin/ā¦pinterest.<country>/pin/ā¦for the country versions of Pinterest- short
pin.it/ā¦links that lead to such a pin
Tracking parameters at the end of the address are ignored. The same pin on any country version of Pinterest is treated as one pin.
What is not supported
- Pins that only contain an image. VideoDownGo downloads videos and audio, not pictures.
- Boards, profiles, search results and idea pages. These are not a single video pin.
- Pins that only point to or embed a video on another website, such as YouTube or Vimeo. VideoDownGo does not follow links to other sites.
- Private pins and anything that asks you to log in.
VideoDownGo does not ask for your Pinterest login and does not use accounts or cookies to access content, so anything that requires a login cannot be processed.
Pins with several pages and sound
If a pin has several pages with videos, VideoDownGo provides the first video. Most Pinterest videos carry their sound inside the video file: you get the video with its sound, and there is no separate audio option. Only when Pinterest keeps the sound as its own stream can you also save the original audio or an MP3, without downloading the video.
Video options
Pinterest decides which versions of a video exist. VideoDownGo lists the resolutions Pinterest provides for that pin and does not invent sizes or formats.
Use it for videos you own or are allowed to save
A video being public does not mean you may reuse it freely. The creator keeps their rights, and music or other material inside a video may have its own license. Download your own videos, videos you have permission to save, or content whose license allows it, and follow the terms of the platform. Temporary files
Your file is stored privately and temporarily: the download link expires after a few minutes and the file is removed automatically after about a day. VideoDownGo does not keep a library of downloaded videos. See the privacy policy for how long operational records are kept.
If a link does not work
- The pin is only an image. Only video pins can be processed.
- The pin is private, removed or needs a login. Open it in a private browser window; if you cannot watch it there without logging in, it cannot be processed.
- The pin points to another site. Only videos hosted by Pinterest can be processed.
- A short link. It must lead to a public video pin. If it does not work, open it in a browser and copy the final pinterest address.
- The link is a board or a profile. Copy the address of the individual pin.
- A temporary problem. Pinterest may limit automated access. Wait a few minutes and try again.

Does it work with private pins or secret boards?
No. VideoDownGo only works with public video pins that open without logging in. Private pins, secret boards and anything that requires an account are not supported.
Do I need a Pinterest account or password?
No. VideoDownGo does not ask for your Pinterest login and does not use accounts or cookies to access content.
Does it work with image pins?
No. VideoDownGo is a video and audio downloader. A pin that only contains an image is not supported.
What if the pin links to YouTube or Vimeo?
Those pins are not supported. VideoDownGo only processes videos hosted by Pinterest and never follows a link to another website.
Why did my link fail?
The pin may be removed, private, image-only, shortened, or a different type of page, or Pinterest may be limiting automated access for a while. Check that the pin opens in a normal browser tab without logging in, then try again later.
